Spring a Leak at Castaway Cay

When Disney Cruise Line’s private island, Castaway Cay, underwent renovations to prepare for the two new ships joining the fleet during the summer of 2010, a fresh water feature was added to the island—Spring a Leak.

Spring a Leak is located near the new family beach, Pelican Point, near the bicycle rentals.  The area features fresh water jets and a spongy surface to protect bare feet.

Prior to entering Spring a Leak, guests take off their shoes and rinse their feet using the low shower nozzles.  A high nozzle for a full body rinse is also available.

There are benches along the fence and at the shaded entrance for anyone not playing.

One of the things I did while there was take photos of the “Hideout” which featured beach chairs and hammocks just for the teen crowd.

Spring a Leak is a nice feature that has been added to Castaway Cay.  The boy appreciated the break from the salt water and the sand, which can be irritating to the skin.  We were glad we gave Spring a Leak a try!
