Happy 84th Birthday, Mickey Mouse!

Today, November 18, marks the 84th birthday of Mickey Mouse.  Created in 1928, the mouse himself has changed a bit through the years, but he hasn't aged a day.

Since we have a loved one with a birthday in November, too, it is only fitting to take a moment and look back over the years that the boy and Mickey have shared together.

As you scroll through the pictures, the boy gets younger, but Mickey stays his youthful and happy self.  Totally Mickey!

Mickey, the grand symbol of Disney, is a thrill to meet on any occasion and the boy has had many!

Walt Disney reminded us to remember, that it was all started by a mouse.  So true!

When Mickey signs an autograph, he adds "Your Pal" to the signature.

Mickey greets guests at his restaurant, Chef Mickey's, in The Contemporary Resort.

He is also found with his friend, Minnie Mouse, in a variety of location.  The photo above was taken at Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness.

Mickey also greets guests at breakfast at 'Ohana's restaurant in the Polynesian Resort.  Hawaiian Mickey, of course.

We've met Captain Mickey, Sailor Mickey, and even Pirate Mickey at sea!

This picture is worth 1,000 words.  It is one of my favorites.

When searching for photos for this post, I noticed that we have met Mickey the most at EPCOT, followed by Hollywood Studios, as far as parks go.  We have met him the least in the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The photos above and below are from our very first trip to Walt Disney World.  It was November, 2006, and the boy had just turned four years old.  That was six years ago, so the photos in the post represent six years of meeting Mickey.
I have a feeling the boy is going to change more than Mickey over the next few years.  But it sure is fun to look back.

Happy Birthday, Mickey!  Wishing you many more birthdays!
